"I have to say that I am so grateful to RECO for giving me back my life. There are no words to express to deepest integrity this program has to its clients. I truly believe in my heart of hearts that I would not be here today if it wasn’t for the therapist, staff, techs and administrators that have touched my life. I live today because RECO believes." -Kellie R.

Our RECO alumni are special. Every client that comes to RECO and completes our program becomes a part of a lifelong family here. This added support helps our alumni to stay focused and give back in their sobriety through our alumni buddy system, weekly alumni meetings, and monthly alumni events. This years creme de la creme however, was our RECO alumni retreat. The retreat this year was a weekend long camping trip at 4-H Cloverleaf Park.
Our alumni had the opportunity to disconnect from the world and reconnect with each other.
The trip, which started on a Friday afternoon, went off with a bang, as our alumni boarded a massive party bus which would take them up north to the camp. From there they would find their bunk within their cabin and start the camping trip in that old school, classic, sleep away camp kind of way. The first day led off with an afternoon of some serious basketball competition, a speaker meeting, some glow in the dark frisbee, and a massive bonfire. From there, each day was packed with activities that ranged from corn hole, to kayaking, and yoga at sunrise. Each night was filled with speaker meetings, family dinners, and bonfires. At RECO, it is about finding the bright spots not only in sobriety but also in life. We look forward to seeing our alumni at our next even which is the annual alumni Christmas party.
