Group Facilitator

Part Time position, posted 11/01/22

Group Facilitator | What You Will Do

As a group facilitator you are an integral piece of each client’s recovery here at RECO. You will help them have their “aha” moments during their time here and build the skills they will take with them on their journey not only through recovery, but through life. Keep in mind this is a contracted role. Please, see the expectations for a RECO group facilitator below:

  • Preparing group activities as it relates to the topic within the area of addiction, recovery, mental health, and utilize holistic and creative interventions
  • Preparing an activity and topic that relates to the group identified
  • Being responsible for conducting a structured group session
  • Conducting group in a manner that all individuals are respected and heard and the rules of the facility are maintained
  • Must be able to document each client in each group after each group is complete
  • Keeps clinical staff informed of client care, problems and issues
  • Collaborates with the clinical team to meet the ongoing psycho-educational and therapeutic needs required
  • Prompt and regular attendance is required, as scheduled by supervisor
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by supervisor 

What We Expect of You

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve our clients. We expect a qualified candidate to have:

  • Licensed by the State of Florida, LCSW, LMHC, MFT or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an equivalent role
  • An attitude that says “Let me help you with that.”
  • A valid driver’s license (FL preferrable)
  • The ability to pass an employee drug screen

As well as, these preferred qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of group skills, facility safety, and a working knowledge of program standards as established by state licensing and accrediting bodies.
  • Knowledge of documentation standard, along with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • CPR/NARCAN/First Aid Training. Don’t worry we provide those if you need them.

Primary Therapist

Full Time position, posted 03/12/19

Primary Therapists provide therapy for individuals with substance use and cooccurring mental health disorders, including but not limited to assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, client education, discharge planning and referral, all of which will be reflected by accurate record keeping.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service Field (BSW)
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
  • Certified Addiction Counselor, Specialist, or Professional (CAC, CAS, CAP)
  • Licensed or Pursuing Licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LPC, or LCAS)
  • Doctorate in Psychology or Philosophy (PsyD, PhD)
  • 3 – 5 Years’ Experience in Substance Abuse, Mental Health, or Behavioral Health.

  • Be punctual, professional, and respectful
  • Able to assess clients and develop treatment goals using client input, client strengths, needs and preferences
  • Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and their families
  • Accurately assess clients and develop individualized treatment goals, using client input, and client strengths, abilities, needs and preferences
  • Provide ongoing therapeutic interventions to assist clients in overcoming challenges
  • Produce assessments, complete notes, treatment plans, and other records. Comprehensive group, individual, and clinical notes are completed within 24 hours.
  • Work in collaboration with other professionals as part of a treatment team
  • Document treatment plans, and other records in a timely manner
  • Utilization review, ASAM for insurance companies
  • Accurate and timely completion of administrative responsibilities; including but not limited to: weekly progress notes, insurance updates, communication with outside referral sources, and attendance at staffing meetings
  • Maintain a caseload with as many clients as deemed fit by the Clinical Director
  • Maintain daily communication with behavioral health staff regarding client behavior
  • Maintain daily communication with discharge planner, working to ensure seamless discharge planning

Behavioral Health Technician

Full Time position, posted 03/08/19

A behavioral health technician is expected to understand and implement individual treatment plans, record patient behavior and provide a safe, supportive environment for the patients. Technicians may provide and record patient medications and assisting in daily activities.

  • Education: HS Diploma
  • Experience: 1 or more years of BHT experience
  • CPR or BHT certification a plus

  • Drive and transport clients as directed by supervisor, obeying all traffic laws and adhering to all safety regulations
  • Monitor all properties and maintain comprehensive notes of all witnessed client behaviors
  • Administer drug tests as instructed by supervisor
  • Fill out all required paperwork for drug tests
  • Maintain shift notes during each client interaction
  • Ensure all properties, including Residences, are immaculately maintained at all times
  • Clean out vehicles daily and ensure any maintenance issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Fill all vehicles with gas, monitoring gauges daily
  • Maintain healthy boundaries while also acting as a trusted guide/confidante to client
  • Facilitate bag searches upon client intake or upon review
  • Act as a constant liaison between clients and clinicians
  • Perform and document residential intakes
  • Maintain and update supply lists and inventory for residences and offices
  • Perform any additional tasks as requested by supervisor
  • Maintain cleanliness within personal workspace
