Feel the sound of silence.
Sound is at the core of the human experience. It is present from the moment of conception, hearing our mother's heartbeat, all the way into the goosebumps we get while listening to a powerful song. However, you feel it. Sound is a part of us.
Sound has the ability to change the way we feel, react and take in the world around us. This use of sound to change our state of being isn't a new concept. It has been used by ancient civilizations in drum circles, within eastern religions as a form of meditation, and in today's western medicine as a form of therapy.
The sound therapy we know and use today is called Vibroacoustic Therapy.
Vibroacoustics or Vibroacoustic Therapy can be used for either relaxation or activation of the mind and body. Through the use of sound frequencies and their volume, we are able to treat a multitude of ailments both mental and physical. By creating different variations of sound a Vibroacoustic therapist can find the perfect pulsation to resonate with the affected area of the body and brain. Just as sound has a frequency, so does our body and each of our cells. Each time an area of the body or mind resonates with a sound stimulus, it will deepen relaxation or cause activation. During a Vibroacoustic session at RECO, our client's will wear a set of state of the art headphones while their VAT therapist helps determine the unique sinusoidal waves with the most effective frequency suited to treat their underlying issues.
The benefits of vibroacoustic therapy include:
