Seeking addiction treatment centers for the first time can seem scary, especially if you are concerned about payment options. However, for proper mental health services and addiction treatment options, seeking substance abuse treatment at a licensed treatment center is vital.
RECO Intensive understands your worries about payment to receive treatment. We offer a private and convenient solution for recovery, including accepting most large and some smaller health insurance providers.
With RECO Intensive, drug addiction or alcohol addiction treatment is within your reach.
The most vital step for substance abuse treatment is understanding your insurance plan, and what it will cover. Here are some of the most common Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance plans:
BCBS Bronze Plan: This is the lowest level of plans, but also the most affordable in terms of monthly premiums. Your monthly premium will be the most affordable, but your deductible and out-of-pocket costs will be higher, and you may have to use in-network providers.
With this plan, you will cover around 40% of the costs out-of-pocket, while BCBS insurance will cover the remaining 60%.
BCBS Silver Plan: This plan is one step up from the bronze and will have slightly higher monthly premiums in exchange for a lower deductible and out-of-pocket expenses.
BCBS insurance will cover around 70% of healthcare costs while you cover the remaining 30% of them.
BCBS Gold Plan: This is one of the most effective plans, with higher monthly premiums than silver, but with much more flexibility on provider networks and out-of-pocket costs.
With a gold tier plan, BCBS insurance will cover 80% of the costs while you cover the remaining 20%.
BCBS Platinum Plan: This is the highest level of BCBS insurance coverage. It will have the highest monthly premiums, with little to no deductible and full flexibility on selecting providers.
With the platinum level plan, you will pay 10% of costs while BCBS covers 90% of costs.
Oftentimes, paying for a treatment facility can leave you feeling overwhelmed, and can leave drug and alcohol rehab feeling out of reach. However, many treatment facilities, including RECO Intensive, will accept health insurance to cover part of your inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, or other rehab center needs.
Thanks to the passing of the Affordable Care Act in 2014, your health insurance provider can no longer deny you insurance coverage or charge additional premiums for pre-existing conditions. Due to the research done on drug and alcohol addiction, these conditions are considered pre-existing conditions, meaning most insurance companies will cover some portion of treatment costs.
While you will need to check with your specific insurance provider, generally, they will cover some or all of the following drug and alcohol abuse services:
