Brock McCoy — Alumni Director

Brock McCoy

Alumni Director

“Long-term recovery is a community endeavor. My job is to make sure that community is already there when you walk out the door.”

Background

Brock McCoy is Alumni Director at RECO Intensive with a focus on the long-term recovery community that follows clients through every level of care and beyond. As a former RECO client himself, he understands the transition from intensive treatment to independent life viscerally — and he runs the alumni program to support clients through that transition rather than leaving them to navigate it alone.

Approach to Care

Brock’s approach at RECO Intensive is centered on consistency. The transition out of intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization care is one of the most vulnerable moments in the entire recovery process, and the alumni community he’s built provides the continued connection that helps clinical gains stick. Weekly groups, milestone check-ins, alumni events, and real ongoing relationships — not a referral list and a goodbye handshake.

His lived experience shapes how he listens. Many clients are walking into long-term recovery without a community that understands what they’ve just gone through. Brock’s role is to make sure that community already exists when they walk out the door.

Education & Credentials

Brock holds his BBA in Business Management and International Business from Florida Atlantic University, plus the lived experience of being a RECO alumnus and the program-building skills from his prior enterprise software sales career. That combination — operational discipline plus personal stake in the outcome — shapes how he runs the alumni team.

What to Expect

RECO Intensive clients discharging from PHP or IOP will encounter Brock as the bridge to ongoing community. The alumni structure includes weekly groups (in person + virtual), milestone events, mentorship pairings between newer alumni and people further along in recovery, and real human follow-through — not automated check-ins. Long-term recovery is a community endeavor, and Brock’s job is to make that community real.
