Real clinical work, with people who do it well.

RECO Intensive is hiring across the program — licensed clinicians, residence supervisors, admissions specialists, alumni coordinators, and operations leads. We build a team that takes the work seriously and likes each other while we do it.

About working here

A treatment program that respects clinical judgment.

RECO Intensive runs a coordinated continuum of care — detox, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, aftercare, and alumni programming — across our clinical campus and recovery residences in Delray Beach, Florida. The team that does this work spans licensed therapists, psychiatric providers, residence supervisors, admissions specialists, alumni coordinators, operations leads, and outreach.

What we look for above credentials is judgment — people who can hold a clinical conversation with the same person whether they are pre-admission, mid-relapse, or two years post-discharge, and who can adjust their approach when the situation calls for it. Lived experience of recovery is welcomed but not required. What is required is the ability to do the work without burning out and to support colleagues doing the same.

How we work

Four things we actually do differently.

Operating principles for the clinical team. Not slogans — actual day-to-day practice.

01

Therapist continuity is non-negotiable

The same primary therapist follows the client from intake through residential, PHP, IOP, and aftercare. Staffing decisions don't override that. If you take a client on, the program supports you keeping them through the continuum.

02

Clinical judgment over rigid protocol

The program has a framework. The framework doesn't make the decisions; the clinician does. We document why, and we back you up when your judgment differs from what a protocol would have produced — including with insurance reviewers.

03

Setbacks are clinical data, not failure

When a client has a setback, the clinical response is assessment and adjustment, not discharge. The team expects the same approach internally — a missed call, a hard case, a difficult family — gets debriefed, not blamed.

04

The work is hard, the workload is sane

Caseloads are sized to the reality of the work, not maximum billing. We expect strong work; we don't expect heroics. Boundaries with after-hours expectations are a stated cultural value, not a wink-and-nod.

How the team is structured

The five kinds of work that make the program run.

These are the role categories the team is built around — not active openings (current openings are listed below). We hire opportunistically when the right person shows up, even if your exact title isn't posted.

Licensed clinicians

Primary Therapist Group Therapist Family Therapist EMDR-Trained Clinician

Licensed therapists in Florida (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, PhD) who carry an individual and group caseload across the continuum. Substance use experience preferred; trauma-informed practice expected; comfort with dual diagnosis presentations required.

Psychiatric providers

Staff Psychiatrist Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Florida-licensed psychiatric providers (psychiatrists, psychiatric NPs) for the medical-management side of dual diagnosis care. MAT (Suboxone, naltrexone) experience an advantage; integration with the clinical therapy team rather than siloed practice.

Residence & operations

Residence Supervisor Recovery Support Specialist Operations Lead Transportation Coordinator

Residence supervisors and house staff who maintain the lived-in, safe, professional environment of the Hart, Siebold, Van Epps, Towers, and Ranch. The work is operational, but the lens is clinical — your job is what makes the clinical work possible.

Admissions & case management

Admissions Specialist Insurance Verification Specialist Case Manager Discharge Coordinator

Admissions specialists who answer the first call, complete clinical assessments, run insurance verification, and coordinate travel logistics for out-of-state clients. Case managers who coordinate the clinical handoffs between levels of care and to outside providers.

Alumni, outreach & marketing

Alumni Coordinator Outreach Specialist Content Writer Marketing Lead

Alumni coordinators who run the post-discharge community programming. Outreach roles who connect with referring professionals, EAPs, and other treatment providers. Marketing roles for content, web, and brand.

Hiring process

What to expect.

Four steps, no surprises. Most candidates from application to offer in 2-3 weeks.

01

Apply

Send your resume and a short note about why this role and program. No long application form — a real cover note carries more weight than a long form ever does.

02

Initial conversation

A 30-45 minute conversation with a hiring manager — what the role actually involves, what your background looks like, what questions you have. Two-way.

03

Team & clinical fit

For clinical roles: a conversation with the clinical leadership team. For operations: a conversation with operational leadership and the team you would join. We want you to meet the people you would work with before you commit.

04

Offer & onboarding

A documented offer including compensation, start date, and the specifics of the role. Onboarding is structured for the first 60 days; you are not thrown into a caseload week one.

Common questions

About working here.

Practical questions from candidates — licensure, lived experience, caseloads, compensation, and how the hiring process actually runs.

Do I need lived experience of recovery to work here?

No, but it's welcomed. About half our team has personal experience of recovery and half does not. Both populations bring real strengths to the work. What matters more than personal history is the ability to hold the clinical work without burning out — that comes from training, supervision, and the right team culture, not from biography.

What licensure do you need to see for clinical roles?

Licensed therapists must hold a current, unrestricted Florida license — LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or PhD/PsyD. Registered interns supervised toward licensure are considered for specific roles when supervision capacity is available. Psychiatric providers must hold a current Florida medical or APRN license with prescriptive authority.

Is the work in-person, hybrid, or remote?

Most clinical roles are primarily in-person at our Delray Beach clinical campus. Telehealth-only positions exist for specific aftercare and continuing-care roles; the hiring conversation makes the in-person expectations explicit before any offer.

What does compensation look like?

Compensation is competitive for the Florida market and is specific to the role and your experience. We discuss the actual number during the hiring conversation rather than in an FAQ — for two reasons. First, ranges in FAQs rarely match what people actually get offered. Second, total compensation includes more than salary, and a real conversation is the right way to talk about that.

How are caseloads sized?

Primary-therapist caseloads are sized to the reality of doing the work well — typically in a range that allows weekly individual sessions, family work, treatment-plan updates, and adequate documentation without sacrificing clinical quality. Specific numbers depend on the level of care the therapist primarily serves. We discuss this during the team-fit conversation.

What supervision and continuing education do you provide?

Clinical supervision is built into the schedule, not added on top. Continuing education for licensed clinicians is supported and the specific structure is discussed during hiring. Registered interns pursuing licensure receive direct supervision from a Florida-qualified supervisor.

I'm an alumnus of RECO. Can I work here?

Some of our strongest team members are RECO alumni. The clinical position on this is the standard one: we want to see meaningful time and demonstrated stability between treatment and employment, and the specific timeline depends on the role. If you are interested, send a cover note explaining where you are now — we will talk.

I don't see my exact role listed. Should I still apply?

Yes. The five role categories on this page are the shape of the team; specific titles vary. If your background fits the clinical or operational work we do, send a resume and a short note — we hire opportunistically when the right person shows up.
