"I have to say that I am so grateful to RECO for giving me back my life. There are no words to express to deepest integrity this program has to its clients. I truly believe in my heart of hearts that I would not be here today if it wasn’t for the therapist, staff, techs and administrators that have touched my life. I live today because RECO believes." -Kellie R.

At RECO, we are blessed to host our program in the beautiful community of Delray Beach. Unfortunately, our beloved community in South Florida was affected by Hurricane Irma last week. From the moment we learned of the storm’s impending arrival, we made client safety our number one priority.
Our preparations began with many trips to stock up on supplies, and careful crafting of contingency plans that would ensure the well-being of each and every client of our program.
Technicians and clinical staff supervised clients during this time, offering extra guidance and keeping clients informed of plans and procedures. Throughout the storm, we hosted our clients at our clinical facilities, and provided them all the necessities.
RECO staff and family prepared meals in advance, and continued to feed RECO clients for the week following the storm. With power down in most of South Florida, the RECO community gathered together and relied on each other for support.
Of his experience with RECO during the storm, client Anthony said, “I couldn’t have been more blessed in the midst of an unfortunate situation, while enduring Hurricane Irma under the care of RECO. I was thoroughly impressed by their efforts to go above and beyond in every single aspect to provide the maximum amount of comfort and safety possible. They expressed their love and care for their clients in a huge way, and it leaves no doubt in my mind what they truly stand for.”
RECO staff are grateful that Delray Beach was spared the brunt of the storm, and are happy to report that all clients and staff are completely safe. First responders and linemen worked tirelessly to restore power and make our neighborhoods safe, and continue to serve our community and the communities surrounding us.
During times of uncertainty and extreme stress, panic can set in. Team RECO banded together to prevent that panic—and to make certain that every client was comfortable and at ease.
Director of Operations Chris Pasquale stated that, “Throughout this storm—and always—we put our clients’ needs first. It was truly a team effort and we are honored to have such a fantastic staff to support our clients every step of the way.”
