Personalized Care

Financial Planning

Family-finance review at intake so the cost of treatment doesn't become the reason recovery gets cut short — insurance benefits maximized, payment plans structured, family support coordinated.

Financial Planning

Money is one of the leading reasons treatment ends prematurely — and one of the leading reasons people delay seeking it. RECO Intensive's financial planning service treats the financial side of treatment as part of the clinical work, not an awkward billing question to push to the end of the week.

What financial planning looks like at RECO Intensive

During admissions, our financial counselor sits with the client and (when appropriate) family to map the full financial picture: insurance benefits and out-of-pocket maximum, expected length of stay, what's covered, what's not, options for the gap, payment plans, and contingencies if level of care needs to change. We don't surprise anyone with a bill at discharge.

For clients whose family is contributing, the conversation includes setting expectations across the family system — because financial conflict about treatment is often the same conflict that fueled the addiction. Our financial counselor coordinates with the family therapist when those tensions show up clinically.

What financial planning covers

  • Insurance verification with detailed benefits letter
  • Estimated cost-of-care projection across the expected length of stay
  • Out-of-pocket structure: deductible, copay, coinsurance, OOP max
  • Payment plan options for the uncovered portion
  • Coordination with family contributors and HSA / FSA accounts
  • Re-projection if level of care needs to change mid-treatment
  • Aftercare financial planning (ongoing therapy, alumni programming, sober living)

Who this matters most for

Clients with high-deductible plans, out-of-network insurance, families coordinating costs across multiple contributors, professionals with FSA / HSA balances to deploy, and anyone for whom financial uncertainty is a barrier to engaging fully in treatment.

How financial planning integrates with the rest of your plan

Financial coordination feeds the aftercare-planning conversation. Where money permits a longer level of care, we adjust. Where money requires a step-down sooner, we structure aftercare to make the transition safe. Financial decisions never happen in isolation from clinical recommendations.

Why the RECO approach is different

Many programs hide pricing behind opaque billing and surprise families with the actual cost at discharge. We treat transparency as a clinical asset — because clients and families who know what to expect can focus on the work instead of dreading the bill.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does RECO accept my insurance?

We accept most major PPO plans. Insurance verification is fast and confidential — submit your information and we'll confirm your benefits typically within 15 minutes. Visit our Verify Insurance page to start.

What if I have a high deductible?

We work with high-deductible plans regularly. Our financial counselor will map the full picture: deductible, copay, coinsurance, out-of-pocket maximum, and options for the uncovered portion.

Are payment plans available?

Yes — for the portion not covered by insurance, we can structure payment plans. Plans are typically 6-12 months, sometimes longer for residential-level care.

What if my family is helping pay?

Common and encouraged. Our financial counselor can coordinate with multiple family contributors, including HSA and FSA accounts. Setting clear financial expectations early prevents conflict mid-treatment.

Will I get surprised by the bill at discharge?

No. Our financial counselor walks through the projected cost at admission, updates it if level of care changes, and reviews the final picture before discharge. Transparency is a clinical asset for us.

The next step is just one call.

Confidential. 24/7. Most major insurance accepted.
