Documents

Bring originals OR clear photos on your phone — admissions will copy what we need.

0/7

Clothing for 7 days

Plan for 5–7 days of clothing — we have laundry on-site at every residence.

0/10

Toiletries & personal care

Alcohol-free only. We provide basics, but most clients prefer their own.

0/8

Medications

All medications — prescription and OTC — must be in their original labeled bottles and will be reviewed by our medical staff at intake.

0/5

Personal items

Bring what helps you feel grounded — books, photos, a journal. We provide bedding, towels, and basics.

0/7

What NOT to bring

These items aren't allowed on-site. Most are obvious; the alcohol-based-products one trips people up — check labels on personal care.

  • Alcohol or alcohol-based products (including mouthwash, hand sanitizer, perfume/cologne)
  • Any non-prescribed drugs or paraphernalia
  • Weapons of any kind (knives, firearms, pepper spray, etc.)
  • Energy drinks, kratom, kava, or any substance designed to alter mood
  • Pornographic material
  • Glass containers (use plastic alternatives)
  • Aerosol sprays of any kind
  • Razor blades not part of a sealed razor
  • Pets (service animals welcome with documentation — call us)
  • Expensive jewelry or valuables (RECO is not responsible for loss)

Frequently asked

Can I bring my phone and laptop?
Yes. Phones are allowed throughout your program. Laptops are permitted for personal use — many of our clients continue working remotely during treatment.
What happens to my medications when I arrive?
Our medical team reviews all medications at intake. Prescriptions you're currently taking stay with you (or are stored and dispensed by staff if needed). OTC medications are reviewed for interactions.
Can I bring my own bedding or pillows?
Yes. We provide bedding at every RECO residence, but you're welcome to bring your own pillow or blanket if it helps you feel at home.
What if I forget something?
We can help. Florida has same-day delivery, and we're a short drive from most retailers. Tell your Admissions Representative on day one and we'll arrange it.
How much money should I bring?
$50–$200 cash is plenty for incidentals (coffee, off-site outings, personal items). Major expenses are covered.
Can my family visit?
Yes — we structure family visits into your program from week two onward. Your therapist will coordinate the schedule.
